IDAGFI WORLD – The International Development Academy of Global Frontiers Institute

Preamble:

Recognizing the critical need for effective international development strategies and the importance of fostering global collaboration, the International Development Academy of Global Frontiers Institute (IDAGFI WORLD), a member organization of ECS300 OPEN UNIVERSITY SYSTEM – The organization of accredited schools, colleges and universities network of Global Frontiers Institute, hereby establishes this charter to guide its activation and operations. This charter is founded upon the principles of building systems leadership capacity, addressing power dynamics, resolving conflicts constructively, maintaining academic quality, and navigating challenging institutional environments.

Article I: Purpose and Mission

  1. Purpose: IDAGFI WORLD is established to advance international development through education, research, training, and collaborative partnerships.
  2. Mission: To empower individuals and institutions with the knowledge, skills, and networks necessary to address global challenges effectively and sustainably.

Article II: Guiding Principles

IDAGFI WORLD shall operate in accordance with the following guiding principles:

  1. Systems Leadership: Develop the capacity of individuals to lead transformative change within themselves, their institutions, and the broader global system.
  2. Equity and Inclusion: Acknowledge and address power differences to ensure inclusive design, decision-making, and equitable outcomes in all initiatives.

Article III: Core Activities

IDAGFI WORLD shall undertake the following core activities:

  1. Educational Programs: Design and deliver educational programs focused on international development, global affairs, and related fields.
  2. Research Initiatives: Conduct research to identify innovative solutions to global challenges and inform evidence-based policies and practices.
  3. Training and Workshops: Provide training and workshops to enhance the skills and knowledge of development professionals, policymakers, and community leaders.
  4. Collaborative Projects: Engage in collaborative projects with partner institutions, governments, and organizations to address specific development challenges.

Article IV: Organizational Structure

  1. Governing Board: The Governing Board shall provide strategic direction and oversight for IDAGFI WORLD.
  2. Executive Director: The Executive Director shall be responsible for the day-to-day management and operations of IDAGFI WORLD.
  3. Advisory Council: The Advisory Council shall provide expert advice and guidance on program development and strategic initiatives.
  4. Faculty and Staff: Faculty and staff shall be responsible for delivering educational programs, conducting research, and supporting the overall mission of IDAGFI WORLD.

Article V: Membership and Affiliations

  1. Membership: IDAGFI WORLD shall establish a membership program to engage individuals and organizations committed to international development.
  2. Affiliations: IDAGFI WORLD shall maintain affiliations with ECS300 OPEN UNIVERSITY SYSTEM and other relevant organizations to enhance its reach and impact.

Article VI: Financial Resources

  1. Funding Sources: IDAGFI WORLD shall secure funding through grants, donations, tuition fees, and other revenue-generating activities.
  2. Financial Management: Financial resources shall be managed responsibly and transparently, in accordance with established accounting principles and ethical standards.

Article VII: OSCO MASBATE Activation

To facilitate the establishment and initial operations of IDAGFI WORLD, the Online Support and Contact Office (OSCO MASBATE) of Global Frontiers Institute is hereby activated.

Article VIII: Review and Amendment

This charter shall be reviewed periodically to ensure its continued relevance and effectiveness. Amendments may be made by a majority vote of the Governing Board.

Article IX: Effective Date

This charter shall take effect upon its approval by the Governing Board of IDAGFI WORLD.
